Allison Ho MSW,LSW Licensed Social Worker at Makin Wellness, providing mental health counseling

You’re navigating some big, often overwhelming moments—and you don’t have to go through them alone. Whether you’re feeling anxious, stuck, burnt out, or just unsure of who you are or where you’re headed, online therapy with me can be a space for you to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself.

I work with adolescents (13–17) and young adults (18–25), especially those who are exploring their identity, managing cultural or intergenerational expectations, or facing life transitions. You might be struggling with anxiety, low mood, stress from school or relationships, or navigating the pressures of being a first-generation student or young adult. Whatever you’re carrying, this is a place where your experiences are valid—and where you’ll be met with compassion and care.

Our work together will be personalized to your unique story and goals. My approach is warm, supportive, and collaborative. Clients often say they feel heard, respected, and more grounded after our sessions. I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable being your full self—no pressure to have it all figured out. We’ll take things at your pace.

In sessions, you can expect a calm and thoughtful environment where your voice is centered. I integrate a variety of approaches, including Culturally Responsive Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, CBT, ACT, and Client-Centered Therapy. Together, we’ll find what works best for you, whether that means learning practical coping tools, processing life events, or exploring deeper emotional patterns.

Online therapy is a partnership—and you don’t have to do it all at once. You’re allowed to grow slowly, and I’ll be here to support you every step of the way.

If you’re ready to start or even just thinking about it, I’d love to meet you. You’re welcome just as you are.

Outside the therapy room, I love getting lost in a good book (especially sci-fi, thrillers, and romance), bingeing shows from The Haunting of Hill House to Love Island, and spending time with friends, family, and good food. I truly believe in the power of rest, connection, and balance—and I bring that belief into every session we have.
