Alonia Slappy

M.A., LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or like you’re carrying the weight of unspoken experiences, you’re not alone — and you don’t have to navigate it by yourself.

I work with teens and adults from all backgrounds — especially clients of color — who are struggling with anxiety, life transitions, stress, and the lasting impacts of childhood trauma. My goal is to provide a space that is affirming, culturally aware, and centered around your unique story and strengths.

In sessions, you can expect a balance of warmth and authenticity, where you have space to be fully yourself — plus supportive guidance grounded in your values. I draw from evidence-based approaches like attachment-based therapy, emotionally focused therapy, trauma-focused care, and person-centered techniques, always with a multicultural and strengths-based lens. Most importantly, we’ll work together in a way that feels safe and empowering for you.

Clients often tell me that they feel comfortable opening up and sharing, and feel heard and seen in our sessions.

I believe that online therapy should feel like a partnership — we’ll move at your pace, focus on what matters most to you, and create real, lasting change.

If you’re feeling unsure about starting online therapy, that’s okay — that’s completely normal. You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin.
I’m here when you’re ready. Click below to book your first session — I’d be honored to support you.
