Rachel Cox BSc Therapist Associate at Makin Wellness, Supervised by a Licensed Clinician, providing mental health counseling
If you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of who you are or where you’re headed, you’re not alone — and you don’t have to navigate it all by yourself. Whether you’re facing anxiety that makes everyday life feel heavy, struggling to adjust after a big life change, working through trauma, or feeling disconnected from your identity, you’re likely craving clarity, relief, and a deeper sense of self-understanding.
My ideal client is someone who’s ready to explore those inner experiences — even if it feels scary or uncertain — because they want something more aligned, meaningful, and peaceful for themselves.
As a therapist, I take an integrative, relational approach that blends humanistic and existential principles. I can help you work through trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and complex life transitions. I also have experience supporting individuals navigating identity exploration, existential concerns, and neurodivergent experiences like ADHD and AuDHD. Together, we’ll create a safe space for honest conversations, self-exploration, and healing — at your pace and in a way that feels authentic to you.
As a Therapist Associate, I bring a strong academic foundation with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from McMaster University and a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science with a Neuroscience minor from the University of Guelph. I am currently advancing my training through a Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) at Point Park University, under the supervision of Michelle Wygant, LPC, a senior licensed clinician at Makin Wellness. This ensures you receive both my dedicated support and the guidance of an experienced professional overseeing your care.
I know reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, especially when you’re used to holding everything together on your own. My goal is to meet you with compassion, curiosity, and care — and to walk with you as you reconnect with your inner strength, resilience, and sense of direction.
🔹 A bit about me
Outside of therapy, I enjoy practicing yoga, spending time in nature, and diving into whatever nerdy hobby has caught my attention lately. If you’re ready to begin this journey, I’d be honored to support you.
